In Kenya and Rwanda I developed such methods giving significantly and two-to-many times better: -early germination in both moist or sunny weather, -faster early root and top growth in phosphorus and nitrogen deficient deficient acid soil and -nodulation where needed. They did not promote early weed growth much (unlike fertilizer) or required commercial inputs or organic manure, and methods for flexible multipurpose contour hedge-management were developed too.
I have worked several years in rural Africa as agronomist, and hope we can collaborate in one way or another.
Mandal T and Nielsen N E 2004: An improved low-input method for establishing calliandra hedgerows on small-scale farms in western Kenya.
